Trained by Hugo Palmer, Galileo Gold is yet to finish out of the first three in eight starts and has won five of those.
The three-year-old ran out the impressive winner of the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket back in May and then looked slightly unlucky in the Irish equivalent when denied a clear run at a crucial stage and finishing runner-up to Awtaad.
Galileo Gold then got back to winning ways when landing the Group 1 St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot where he beat The Gurkha by 1/4 lengths and had Awtaad a further 1/2 a length back in third.
Judged on that running the colt has nothing to fear from those re-opposing rivals and another plus he will once again be partnered by jockey Frankie Dettori who rides the track supremely well.
