Di Matteo’s side are 4/6* to record a victory in their friendly with a side that finished 18th last term.
Toon to triumph over Doncaster
Newcastle United have won eight of nine meetings against Doncaster Rovers, and are unbeaten in the history of the fixture. Rafael Benitez will be keen to continue preparations for life in the Championship with a positive result.
Despite being relegated last year, the arrival of top class Spaniard Benitez swept a breath of fresh air into the side and picked up a few impressive results as the campaign drew to a close.
Dwight Gayle joined Newcastle’s ranks recently and will look to start his Toon career with a bang – his team are 4/7* to triumph over Doncaster.
Reds to rout Terriers
Liverpool have already played three pre-season games and won all of them, with Danny Ings and Firmino in particular impressing. Ings will be keen to wow Jurgen Klopp, after spending most of last season on the injury table, and has looked deadly thus far.
The Reds are unbeaten in their last 10 match-ups against Huddersfield Town and seem to be gathering a head of steam coming into the clash. Klopp’s outfit have won the last two games with an aggregate score of 7-0, and haven’t conceded a goal all pre-season. Liverpool are 4/9* to win in Huddersfield.
