Klinsmann gambled into 6-4 to get England job

Jurgen Klinsmann is the clear 6-4 favourite with leading bookmaker Coral to be the next permanent England manager following a sustained gamble on the German over the last couple of days. The current USA coach was as big as 8-1 just 48 hours ago and when Coral first opened betting on Roy Hodgson’s replacement, he could be backed at 25-1.

Sam Allardyce is now second best in the betting at 9-2 with Coral following the move for Klinsmann, Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is next best at 10-1, while Glenn Hoddle is 12-1 to return for his second spell in charge of the national team.

“The gamble behind Jurgen Klinsmann becoming the next England manager has shown no signs of stopping over the last couple of days. The German is now the clear favourite to succeed Roy Hodgson and become just the third foreign manager in history to take over the national team,” said Coral’s John Hill.
