The Cashel Man can collect in Goodwood Stakes
The Cashel Man has a progressive profile and can take advantage of what looks a handy mark to land the 2m 5f Goodwood Stakes which opens proceedings on the second day of Glorious Goodwood (14.00).
Trained by David Simcock, the four-year-old improved throughout last season when winning three of his four races.
In the last of those over 2m at Newmarket, The Cashel Man come from off the pace to take up the running inside the final furlong and forge clear to beat the now 103-rated Amour de Nuit by five lengths.

It was a dominant display which suggested the gelding was a stayer that needed keeping firmly onside and that view has been confirmed in two runs this season.
Extreme staying test looks sure to suit
After a highly promising comeback run when a keeping on 1 3/4 length second of 15 to Saigon City in a hot handicap at York the son of High Chaparral shaped far better than the bare result suggests when a five length eighth of 20 to Dannyday in the valuable Northumberland Plate over 2m at Newcastle.
The Cashel Man was doing all his best work at the finish in the latter after losing his place at a vital stage and this marathon test looks sure to suit.
A handicap mark of 89 also looks very exploitable judged on his run behind Amour de Nuit, and with Jamie Spencer in the saddle everything looks in place for a huge run.
Rioca ready to role
Trainer Sir Mark Prescott has his team in excellent shape and Rioca can provide him with another winner in the extended 1m 1f handicap (16.55).

The filly won her first two starts last year before being far from disgraced when a 1/2 length fourth to the now 104-rated Viren’s Army at Leicester.
Rioca went on to round-off the campaign with a solid second in a Listed contest over 1m at Newmarket and judged on those runs a handicap mark of 93 looks workable.
The daughter of Jeremy also looks the type who should have even more to offer as a three-year-old now stepped up in trip.
Czech It Out each-way value
Czech It Out has a good record at the track and looks decent each-way value in the 7f handicap that brings proceedings to a close (17.25).
Trained locally by Amanda Perrett, the gelding was last successful over course and distance 11 months ago off a mark of 85 and went on to run a blinder at this meeting when a 2 1/4 length sixth of 19 to Rene Mathis in class 2 contest off 93.
Czech It Out also ran well two starts back over course and distance when fifth of 14 in another class 2 contest off 89 and is now able to race in this lower grade class 3 affair off 86.
That is just 1lb higher than when last successful and gives the six-year-old major claims at the weights.
