Coral’s bet of the day

  • Dynamo Dresden are new boys to the Bundesliga 2, having won promotion
  • Everton have triumphed in two friendlies on the trot under new coach Koeman
  • In both those tussles the Toffees led by the 15 minute mark

Everton 19/5 to lead after 15 minutes versus Dresden

Friday sees an array of football friendlies take place, with Everton’s jaunt to Germany to duel with Dynamo Dresden in the Dresden Cup an encounter that catches the eye for Coral’s bet of the day.

The Toffees are available at a tasty 19/5 to have taken the lead against SGD after 15 minutes of play, with the German minnows perhaps having bitten off more than they can chew against the blue team from Merseyside.

So, read on for the reasons Ronald Koeman’s team should get off to a flying start…

Toffees quick out of the box

It’s been a perfect start for Everton under Koeman, at least in terms of their friendly warm-ups, with the Northwest club coming out on top in both their exhibition outings so far.

Freshly promoted Championship club Barnsley and League One outfit MK Dons are the scalps collected so far and, though of course expected, Koeman had his contingent performing encouragingly in those victories.

Against both the Tykes and Dons, the Toffees turned on the style quickly, going ahead within 15 minutes as per this punt, and actually with an impressive nine and two minutes gone on the clock respectively.

New Bundesliga 2 team Dresden should pose no greater threat, having toiled in Germany’s third division mere months ago. Dynamo will have to contend with a confident Everton cohort led by canny Koeman, with young stars Gerard Deulofeu and Ross Barkley having both bagged in each pre-season friendly so far, and fellow attacking midfielder Kevin Mirallas also on target.

So, as momentum is firmly with the Merseyside men, who have burst out of the blocks excitingly as part of Koeman’s Everton era so far, they look truly tempting at 19/5 to be in front by 15 minutes in this fixture.
