Celtic 12/5 to win and both teams score
Scottish champions Celtic will break new ground on Tuesday evening, as they become the first British club ever to face a Gibraltar team in a competitive fixture.
The Hoops travel to their fellow British territory to face Lincoln Red Imps in a Champions League second round first leg qualifier, which is live on BT Sport 2 from 19:00 BST, and it is from this match that Coral have picked out their bet of the day.
Odds of 12/5 say that Celtic can win with both teams scoring, and read on why you should back this tasty price…
Being former European Cup and current domestic champions, it is no surprise that the Scottish giants are heavy favourites for victory over their so-called minnows.
Under new boss Brendan Rodgers, the Hoops will no doubt be eager to prove their worth while the transfer window is still open, and anything less than a big win in Gibraltar will be seen as a failure.
Multi champions Lincoln brimming with confidence
So, while Celtic should win, they may not exactly have it all their way, especially as Lincoln are themselves league champions, and surpass their Scottish counterparts’ five-in-a-row effort by claiming 14 on the trot.
That level of dominance, and the fact they’re playing on home soil (which is artificial turf), will mean the Red Imps are high in confidence and can get a goal at least in the picturesque 2k-capacity Victoria Stadium setting.
Lincoln have already caused an upset this competition, knocking out Estonian champions Flora Tallinn across two legs in the first qualifying round, after netting both home and away.
Some of these players have met before too, as Gibraltar hit an equaliser past Scotland in the recent Euro 2016 qualifiers, though went on to lose 6-1.
Celtic, meanwhile, have looked unconvincing in their three pre-season friendlies to date, gaining narrow wins over Sturm Graz and Olimpija Ljubljana, while they drew with Maribor.
So, take a punt at this terrific 12/5 price on offer with Coral now, for a chance to reap rewards!
