Arsenal were linked with one full back on show in the Albania v Switzerland game prior to that Group A contest at Euro 2016 in Ricardo Rodriguez, but now it appears they are considering another.

The Sunday papers claim Napoli’s Elseid Hysaj, who certainly caught the eye with his forays forward from the right flank of defence, could be the subject of a rumoured £15m bid.

Following club coach Maurizio Sarri from Empoli to Naples last summer, 22-year-old Hysaj was a virtual ever-present in Serie A this past season. Couple that with a mature performance on Albania’s tournament debut, and suitors are beginning to circle.

Highly-rated Hysaj

Regarded by Coral among the top 40 players to watch at the Euro 2016 finals in France, it is somewhat surprising to find the Gunners linked to Hysaj. Arsenal are well-stocked at right back, though speculation surrounds the futures of several players in this position.

As Hector Bellerin, voted by fellow professionals in the 2015/16 PFA Premier League Team of the Season, came through Barcelona’s academy, he continues to be linked with a return to the Nou Camp.

It has been suggested that Calum Chambers, meanwhile, could return to former club Southampton, while Mathieu Debuchy spent the second half of the club campaign on loan at Bordeaux.

Kroos plus cash for Pogba the Real deal?

World Cup - 1/4 Final Germany Defeats France - Rio De Janeiro

Euro 2016 poster boy Paul Pogba is likely to be devilishly expensive if any club wants to prise him away from Juventus, and the foreign press suggest the Old Lady have quoted Real Madrid a staggering €120m plus Germany playmaker Toni Kroos for his services.

France midfield dynamo Pogba, 23, is rated the top young player to watch at Euro 2016 by Coral after making the joint highest number of assists in Serie A for Juve this past season.

Real tend to bring a marquee signing to the Bernabeu every so often as part of their Galacticos marketing strategy, and Pogba would follow in the footsteps of Les Bleus legend Zinedine Zidane in transferring from Turin to Madrid for big money.

Free agent Fletcher chased by Tigers and Villa

Britain Soccer Premier League

Recently released Scotland striker Steven Fletcher is attracting interest from promoted Hull City and relegated Aston Villa, according to the press north of the border.

Available on a free from Sunderland this summer following a loan spell with Marseille, the 29-year-old frontman has considerable Premier League experience picked up during his days with Burnley, Wolverhampton Wanderers and the Black Cats.

Both Steve Bruce’s Tigers and the Villans, who recently appointed Roberto Di Matteo as their new boss, are looking to increase their attacking options as they respectively strengthen and rebuild after going in opposite directions to and from the Championship.
