Bet of the day: Hulk to hit Haiti with first goal in Copa clash
Robbie Purves | June 8, 2016
Coral bet of the day
- Samba Boys are unbeaten in four games
- Brazil won their last game over Haiti 6-0
- Hulk scored three in his previous two league games
Hulk to score first 11/4
Colossal right winger Hulk is coming off the back of a sensational league season. He registered an incredible 23 goals and 24 assists in a campaign that saw his club Zenit St Petersburg qualify for the Europa League after finishing the term losing just once in 13 games.
The 29-year-old is a strong finisher and closed his club campaign scoring three in two clashes. Hulk is 11/4 to net first against struggling minnows Haiti.
Capped 46 times for his nation, Hulk boasts a good record of around one goal every four games from the wing. Zenit’s star man will want to grasp his opportunity to shine with both hands, as Willian and Philippe Coutinho snap at his heals for wing berths.
Brazil’s fine form to prove dividends
Brazil are unbeaten in their last four games and put six past Haiti the last time they met. The Samba Boys will be out to claim their first Copa America since 2007, and look to reclaim some of the footballing prestige they lost when embarrassed at their own World Cup back in 2014.
Haiti have really struggled of late and have won a single game in their last seven. Haiti’s French coach, Patrice Neveu, is wary of Brazil’s quality, saying: “This Brazil squad is still a team made up of winners. Whether they are at full strength or not, it doesn’t matter.”
Buoyed by the news that Brazil will hold the 2019 Copa America, the nation will take high spirits into the fixture and look to lift the trophy which has eluded them for too long.
