Germany 29/10 to win both halves v Poland

Coral’s latest brilliant bet of the day features a fabulous Thursday flutter on perhaps the biggest grudge game of Euro 2016 so far. No, not England v Wales, but the later battle between bitter neighbours Germany and Poland.

Die Mannschaft are available at an enticing 29/10 price to win both halves of their evening encounter against the Poles, who are their biggest Pool C competitors.

So, why not read on and find out why this hand-picked punt for the Germans to defeat the White Eagles is just too good to miss out on…

Die Mannschaft dominate head-to-heads

Both teams surged to opening Euro wins, but world champions Germany hold a humongous head-to-head record over their regional rivals with 13 victories from 20 fixture frays and just one defeat during that time.

The Germans have also regularly outscored geographically close peers Poland after notching 34 to the White Eagles’ haul of 12, and history should weigh heavily again in this wrangle.

While, last time these foes faced, Joachim Low’s lads ran out 3-1 winners, leading in both the first and second halves. Goals from Thomas Muller and Mario Gotze cancelled out Bayern Munich clubmate Robert Lewandowski’s consolation strike in the opening 45, and guileful Gotze then completed his brace and capped off the clash with the sole goal after the break.

When the Germans last grappled with their continental neighbours on a major tournament stage, back at Euro 2008 in the group stage, Polish-born poacher Lukas Podolski made sure Die Mannschaft took the plaudits in both halves also, by striking a blow either side of the interval to no reply.

To add to the idea that Germany continue to be equally clinical before and after the break, Low’s men also won the first and second 45 of their opener last time out versus Ukraine, with Shkodran Mustafi starting the scoring in the 19th minute and Bastian Schweinsteiger finishing things off around the 90 mark.

Before the Euros began, winning machine Die Mannschaft also emerged victorious from both halves in two of their last three friendly fixtures.

In addition, Germany may be boosted in this battle by the mooted return of star centre back Mats Hummels, with the likes of sharpshooter Thomas Muller and playmaker Mesut Ozil seeking to open their Euro 2016 accounts. So, snap up that 29/10 price for the Germans to win both halves against Poland now!
