England odds-on to start Euro 2016 with a win

SPORTSBOOK ODDS

England are 10-11 favourites with Coral to get their Euro 2016 campaign off to a winning start against Russia tomorrow night, with their Marseille opponents 7-2 outsiders and the draw 9-4, while Roy Hodgson’s men are well-backed 9-1 fourth favourites to go all the way in France.

Wales are also in action tomorrow, and are 7-4 favourites to beat Slovakia, and wins for both home nations would ensure the bookies get off to the worst possible start on what promises to be one of the biggest betting days in the tournament, with a predicted £30 million wagered on the Saturday matches.

“Up to £500 million will be bet over the next month, but very few match days will be bigger than this one, and the kick-off times mean punters will have plenty of time to get their bets on.  With England and Wales in action, this promises to be a super Saturday, and patriotic punters are certain to get behind both teams, with England by far the biggest losers in our book, and Wales among the best-backed nations as well, so if both sides get off to a winning start, our payouts will start early,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
