England odds-on for victory to top Euro group
Published:
England are odds-on favourites, at 3-4 with Coral, to beat Slovakia tomorrow night, a win that would ensure Roy Hodgson’s men top qualifying Group B. Their opponents in St Etienne are 9-2 outsiders to triumph, with the draw 12-5. Following last week’s dramatic victory over Wales, England are 7-1 fourth favourites to win Euro 2016, with Spain replacing hosts France as the new 10-3 tournament favourites.
“We’re still counting the cost of Daniel Sturridge’s late winner against Wales, which ensured a £10 million payout across the industry, but are expecting more of the same patriotic punting against Slovakia, as England go for a victory that would ensure the all-important top spot in the group, and an easier-looking start to the knock-out stage,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
Previous match goal heroes Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge are Coral’s 4-1 favourites to open the scoring in St Etienne, with Marcus Rashford 11-2 and skipper Wayne Rooney 6-1.
