England now 7-1 for Euro glory after late Lens winner

England are 7-1 (from 8-1) with bookmaker Coral to win Euro 2016 after their 2-1 victory against Wales this afternoon, a result that cost the bookies in excess of £10 million.

“This was the biggest match of the tournament so far, and a draw would have been the bookies’ dream outcome, but when Daniel Sturridge scored the late winner, it broke Welsh hearts and ours, with patriotic punters collecting £10 million, although even that payout would be nothing compared to an English triumph next month,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
