Cilic is 11/4 to beat Lopez 2-1

The main draw at the 2016 Queen’s Club Championships begins today, with Marin Cilic’s battle with Feliciano Lopez being one of the highlight first round fixtures.

It is from this match that Coral have picked out our bet of the day, with tasty odds of 11/4 on the Croatian to beat the Spaniard 2-1.

Read on to find out why you should take this enticing price…

Cilic and Lopez have faced each other five times before, with the former winning three of them, including once on the grass courts at Queen’s back in 2013.

The Croat won 2-1 that day too, after losing the opening set, in a tight 4-6 7-6 7-5 scoreline.

Former Queen’s champ Cilic to edgeLopez again

Former US Open champion Cilic is also a former winner of this event, back in 2012, when he beat David Nalbandian in an infamous final after the now-retired Argentine was disqualified after kicking out at a line judge.

Veteran Spaniard Lopez, meanwhile, was runner-up at Queen’s in 2014, when he lost to Grigor Dimitrov.

This is the duo’s second tournament on grass after both were knocked out in the opening round at Stuttgart following the French Open, which shows that they are showing signs of rustiness on this surface. That means that this clash looks set to go the distance while they continue to find their feet.

But, the fact that Cilic is up in head-to-heads and named as the favourite for this fixture means that he should edge past Lopez once again at the West Kensington event.

So, what are you waiting for punters? Take these terrific odds of 11/4 now to reap rewards!
