The countdown to Euro 2016 is almost over and who better to provide us with expert views on the tournament than England legend himself Alan Shearer?

Coral’s brand ambassador spoke with us recently to discuss some of the biggest talking points ahead of the tournament, starting with hosts France:

He also had something to say about Atletico Madrid and Les Bleus striker Antoine Griezmann who is a tempting 9/1 shot to be the tournament’s top goalscorer…

Shearer then turned his attention to Roy Hodgson’s selections for the 23-man England squad that will take part in the Euros and it’s fair to say he’s less than impressed with the Three Lions manager:

So, how far does he think they can go? You can also check out our special ‘Stage of Elimination’ market here.

Shearer also had his say on Wales and Ireland, with all but one of the Home Nations in action at Euro 2016:

Finally, he rounded up with who he thinks will win Euro 2016 in Paris on Sunday, July 10th…

Alan Shearer

Alan Shearer played his entire career at the top level of English football, winning the Premier League title with Blackburn in 1994-95. The following summer he signed for his hometown club, Newcastle United, for a then world record £15 million fee.

He ended his playing career with a record 260 Premier League goals, which still stands today. He also won 63 caps for England, including 34 as captain, and among his 30 international goals were five scored at Euro 96, a total that won him the Golden Boot at that tournament.

Now the chief pundit on Match Of The Day, Alan was one of the first two players inducted into the Premier League Hall Of Fame this year.
