Murray continues quest for second SW19 crown
After a rain hit last couple of days, Wimbledon 2016 is behind by a few matches, but at least some have been able to finish on time, so read on to find out Coral’s top tips for the men’s singles second round on day four…
Kyrgios to beat Brown 3-1
Volatile Australian Kyrgios defied his poor form coming into this event by beating veteran Radek Stepanek in four sets in his opener.
He now goes up against a man he has yet to face in German-Jamaican Dustin Brown, who shocked Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon last year.
With Kyrgios being the heavy favourite for this encounter, though, he is 5/2 for another four sets victory to progress to round three.
Murray to win first set v Lu 6-3
British number one Andy Murray got off to a great start after overcoming Englishman Liam Broady with relative ease, and now comes up against a familiar opponent in Yen-Hsun Lu.
The duo have faced each other on four occasions, with the Scot winning the last three – two of which were on grass.
In two of those victories, including at Wimbledon 2013, Murray claimed the opening set 6-3, so you can back him at a tasty 7/2 price to do so again.
Tsonga to defeat Monaco in four
Fan favourite and two-time semi-finalist here Jo-Wilfried Tsonga always puts on a show at Wimbledon, as he seemingly jumping and sliding around on the softer grass courts.
Next up for the Frenchman, after beating Inigo Cervantes in straight sets, is Argentine Juan Monaco, who neither enjoys this surface nor playing Tsonga.
Monaco has lost all five of their meetings, including three times after gaining one set, so back Tsonga at 5/2 to triumph 3-1.
Del Potro and Wawrinka to go the distance
Juan Martin del Potro has endured a torrid last couple of years due to a wrist injury, but seems to finally a have found his confidence back after sailing past Stephane Robert.
The 2009 US Open champion now faces the task of trying to knock out two-time Grand Slam winner Stan Wawrinka.
However, as the Swiss doesn’t usually enjoy playing on grass, back the duo to battle out a tough five-setter at 9/4.
Gasquet to drop just a set against Granollers
Another French two-time Wimbledon semi-finalist takes to the courts on day four, as Richard Gasquet go up against 30-year-old Marcel Granollers.
The Spaniard has reached this round on four previous occasions but never got further, which suggests he won’t make it fifth time lucky.
As Gasquet has won both his previous meetings with Granollers 3-1, including at this event in 2013, he’s a tempting 5/2 to go through in four once more.
