Foxes to tame Black Cats, draw for Man Utd at Spurs, while Reds seek Stoke spoils

Relegation strugglers Sunderland face a visit from Premier League leaders Leicester City this Sunday as part of the weekend’s top-flight action, with the hosts seeking crucial points in their bid to avoid dropping down divisions.

The Foxes are aiming to build on their lead at the summit on their travels to Wearside, while title rivals Tottenham welcome top four chasing Manchester United to White Hart Lane and Liverpool collide with Stoke City at home on Merseyside.

Foxes hunt Black Cats coup

Claudio Ranieri’s title front runners Leicester go into their clash with relegation threatened Sunderland on Sunday afternoon with a seven-point advantage over second-placed Spurs, but they face a trip to a ground they have failed to win at since January 1999.

Although, the Foxes did secure a thrilling 4-2 victory in the reverse clash on the opening day of this potentially historic season, and the visitors have lost just one of their previous five fixture meetings in all competitions.

The away outfit are 19/5 with Coral to prevail and both teams score once again here, while Sam Allardyce’s Black Cats enter proceedings at 12/5 to gain a vital three points to boost their hopes of staying up.

Vardy party to continue?

All of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and Marc Albrighton have been in sensational form this current campaign as Leicester hunt down a stunning title triumph, and the trio of stars were all on target against Sunderland last time out.

Sunderland’s hopes of retaining their top-flight status relies heavily on the performances of key frontman Jermain Defoe, with the former Spurs sharpshooter having bagged 15 goals so far this term.

Tottenham will look to keep the pace with Leicester and prevent them from edging further ahead with success at White Hart Lane against Louis van Gaal’s Man Utd, though the hosts have failed to win this fixture at home since May 2001.

Meanwhile, fellow starlet Marcus Rashford could be set to lead the line once again and is also 2/1 to dispatch following his derby day heroics over Manchester City before the international break.

Reds and Potters clash at Anfield

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool host Stoke only days after securing a promising Europa League draw with Borussia Dortmund, and the Reds are 6/4 to win without conceding against a Potters outfit they have already beaten twice this season.

The hosts have earned both league and Capital One Cup wins over their latest opponents this term, whilst also losing in the second leg of the latter competition before tasting an eventual exit on penalties.

Mark Hughes’ Stoke are 5/1 to cause an upset but, with all three meetings so far this campaign having ended 1-0, Liverpool are 11/2 for a repeat result on Merseyside.

Sturridge and Origi danger to Potters
