Coral’s bet of the day

  • Hernandez has been on target in three of his last four fixtures
  • Hull’s Uruguayan attacker has netted 19 in 38 Championship outings
  • Eight of those league goals were openers
  • The Tigers have been beaten at home in the Championship just once this term

Hernandez 10/3 to bag first versus Brentford

Tuesday brings a wealth of worthy football wagers, from the Champions League to the Championship, with the latter league the focus of our hand-picked flutter for Coral’s latest bet of the day, as Hull City host Brentford at the KC Stadium.

As we’ve already mentioned, the excitingly competitive English second-tier is set for an enthralling finish with Premier League promotion and play-off places seriously at stake, with challengers Hull hopeful of staying in contention by beating the 10th placed Bees.

In-form hitman Abel Hernandez is the Tigers’ best chance of being on target, so why not back the frontman at a terrific 10/3 to bag the opener? Read on to find out just why we have highlighted the Hull forward to fire in the first on Humberside…

Blackburn Rovers v Hull City - Sky Bet Championship - Ewood Park

Hernandez has a taste for opening poaching proceedings

In Uruguay international Hernandez Hull have the Championship’s third top scorer, with the striker having hit a nifty 19 strikes in his 38 outings, only behind Andre Gray and Ross McCormack, despite having played fewer minutes than the latter.

In lethal form, particularly of late, Hernandez has hit home in four of his last four fixtures, helping the Tigers stay unbeaten in all of them. Crucially for this dabble of the day, however, of the dangerman’s 19 league goals eight were openers.

While, Steve Bruce’s boys have also been most convincing on their own turf this term, with just one home league loss all campaign so far, increasing their strikeforce’s chances of bagging against the Bees.

Soccer - Sky Bet Championship - Hull City v Charlton Athletic - KC Stadium

Mid-table men Brentford have leaked a whopping 64 Championship goals in just 43 games, compared to the tight Tigers that have conceded only 33. Goal-hungry Hernandez should surely be licking his lips at the prospect of facing such a shaky backline, then, with Hull having already defeated them this term to no reply.

So, that tempting 10/3 price for poacher Hernandez to be first on the scoresheet seems superb value!
