Becher Chase winner backed for Coral Grand National success

SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Highland Lodge, last seen when winning the Becher Chase in December, is 16-1 (from 25-1) with the sponsor for Saturday’s Coral Scottish Grand National, following decent support for the 10-y-o today.  In what promises to be a top-class renewal of the race, the Irish-trained duo Cause Of Causes and Measureofmydreams head the betting at 8-1, with the latter’s trainer Willie Mullins 1-10 favourite with Coral to win the UK Trainers’ title this season.

“Highland Lodge has not been seen since his Becher Chase success, and while that race is a traditional Grand National trial, the support for this season’s winner today suggests a big run in the Scottish National is on the cards,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
