Anthony Joshua 1-20 to make successful opening defence
Leading bookmaker Coral has opened up betting on Anthony Joshua’s opening defence of his IBF world heavyweight title against American Dominic Breazeale this summer in which Joshua is 1-20 to come out on top, with the challenger 9-1 to cause an upset.
Fellow world champion Tyson Fury is also set to defend his world titles against Wladimir Klitschko in July in a rematch of their bout last year. Both men can be backed at 10-11 with Coral to win that fight.
Coral has also opened up betting on a potential bout between the two British heavyweight world champions in the near future where they make Joshua the 8-11 favourite and Fury 11-10 to win that huge domestic bout.
“Joshua is a long odds-on favourite to make a successful opening defence of his IBF world title against the unbeaten American. If he does avoid defeat in 2016, there could be a huge domestic bout against Tyson Fury to me made next year in which Joshua would start as the favourite in that fight,” said Coral’s John Hill.
