Cheltenham Races - The International - Day One

Onenightinvienna is a novice who is bidding to become the first seven-year-old to win the Crabbie’s Grand National since Bogskar in 1940.

He scored decisively on chasing debut in a 3m novices’ chase at Exeter back in December, and finished runner-up on his next two starts in similar contests, including when going down by 2 1/4 lengths to subsequent RSA Chase hero Blaklion at Cheltenham in December.

Disappointed when only fifth of six in Grade Two Reynoldstown Novices’ Chase at Ascot when last seen in action, but looks the type to bounce back.

Jumps race record

Onenightinvienna has only once finished out of the frame in 11 starts under rules. Remains open to stacks of improvement after just four starts over fences, and is a bold jumper who stays well.

Starts: 11
Wins: 4
2nd: 4
3rd: 2
Career win and place prize money: £33,866
