Vicky Pattison’s odds slashed to host the X Factor

Bookmaker Coral has slashed the odds on Geordie Shore personality Vicky Pattison taking over from Caroline Flack and Olly Murs as the next X Factor presenter, following a flurry of bets this morning. Coral reacted to the gamble by shortening her odds to 14-1 from 33-1 to get the job.

However, the firm believe Dermot O’Leary is the most likely candidate to get his job back, making him the 2-1 favourite, while Rylan Clark is also in the running at 3-1. The firm reckon that the show will return to using just one presenter, making it odds-on at 8-11, while it’s even money that a duo host the 2016 series.

With Nick Grimshaw, Caroline Flack, and Olly Murs, no longer part of the show, Coral go 12-1 that the X Factor doesn’t return for another series.

“Vicky Pattison is a popular figure and some punters believe she could be the new face of the X Factor, but the odds are still very much in favour of Dermot O’Leary returning to his old job,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
