Leading bookmaker Coral make The Revenant odds-on at 2-5 to win the Best Picture at the Oscars on Sunday evening. The firm also expects Leonardo DiCaprio to pick up the Best Actor prize for his role in the film, where he is the shortest price anyone has ever been in the category.

Elsewhere in the betting, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarrito is 8-15 to be awarded the Best Director at the ceremony, while Brie Larson is 1-33 to the Best Actress.

Of the British interest at the awards, Eddie Redmayne is 20-1 to win the Best Actor for his role in The Danish Girl and Kate Winslet is 7-2 to land the Best Supporting Actress.

“The odds clearly suggest it is going to be a very good night for The Revenant as not only is it odds-on to win the Best Picture, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and Leonardo DiCaprio top their respective markets to land the Best Director and Best Actor, respectively,” said Coral’s John Hill.
