Bookmaker Coral.ie has reported a surge of bets on a Fine Gael/Fianna Fail coalition to be the next Government in the last twenty-four hours. The firm has slashed the odds to 4-5 from 15-8 after a number of significant bets were struck. A Fine Gael/Labour coalition occurring is next best in the betting at odds of 5-1.

“As Election Day approaches, the betting has really ramped up and at this stage, all the money points in the direction of a Fine Gael and Fianna Fail coalition taking over Dail Eireann,” said Coral.ie spokesperson, Nicola McGeady.
