Coral’s bet of the day

  • Sergio Aguero has struck 16 times this season on all fronts
  • The Argentine netted against Sunderland in the League Cup
  • Manchester City have won last four fixture meetings

Aguero 5/2 to strike two or more goals

After the hustle and bustle of the January transfer window finally came to an end, all eyes are on the midweek Premier League fixtures, and it’s from Sunderland’s clash with Manchester City that Coral’s bet of the day lies in wait.

Manchester City v Everton - Capital One Cup - Semi Final - Second Leg - Etihad Stadium

The biggest move of the winter window was actually a managerial one, with Man City confirming that Pep Guardiola will take charge in the summer, and you can back his future striker Sergio Aguero to net two or more goals at 5/2 against Sunderland tonight.

Manuel Pellegrini is still the man in the Etihad hotseat for the remainder of this current campaign, and the Chilean coach is still overseeing his side fight on in every competition, with domestic duties taking centre stage this midweek.

Super Sergio can down Black Cats

The Sky Blues’ Argentine attacker Aguero has been in typically sensational form this season, bagging five goals in his previous three outings in all competitions, including a double over both Crystal Palace and West Ham United last month.

Everton v Manchester City - Capital One Cup - Semi Final - First Leg - Goodison Park

City’s clinical marksman also dispatched an incredible five-goal haul at the backend of last year against Newcastle United, with his most-recent effort over Roberto Martinez’s Toffees earning his team a 3-1 victory.

Guardiola was confirmed as the man to succeed current coach Pellegrini this upcoming summer, and Aguero will be out to prove his worth as the club’s main man before his arrival and hopefully give his present mentor a strong send-off.

Aguero has managed four goals in eight career meetings with the Black Cats, including three in his previous two fixture run-outs, and he will surely be gunning for further success against Sam Allardyce’s relegation strugglers on City’s travels to Wearside.
