In what is one of the fiercest rivalries in the land, Liverpool and Manchester United prepare to meet in the Premier League.

As such, while both sides have demonstrated deficiencies this season, Coral take a look at which three players each side would take from their opponents, starting with the Reds.

Liverpool

Roberto Firmino

Liverpool’s summer signing has shone in big games this term, recently bagging a brace in the 3-3 draw against Arsenal and also starring against Manchester City. With Louis van Gaal’s side lacking a spark this season, the Brazilian would definitely come in useful and is 23/10 to net anytime.

Emre Can

The German midfielder is a terrific talent and a firm Jurgen Klopp favourite. A robust, all-action player, he is exactly what United need, with Bastian Schweinsteiger failing to impress this campaign. Given the chance, United would snap the 22-year-old up.

James Milner

Any side would take midfielder who started his career at Leeds United. He just simply does not stop running, is good on the ball and is an opponent’s nightmare.

Manchester United

Chris Smalling

Liverpool are in dire need of an accomplished centre back and the former Fulham man certainly fits the bill. During his tenure at Old Trafford he has blossomed into one of the most promising English defenders in the country and can go from strength to strength.

Daley Blind

The Dutch international is one of the most composed and assured players that United have on their books. Comfortable at either left back, heart of defence or midfield anchorman, he is definitely a Klopp-esque player and the German boss could definitely accommodate him.

Wayne Rooney

Controversial, though, there is no denying that the striker who started his career at Everton doesn’t score important goals. Also currently in form for United, with three goals in his last two, the England record-breaker is 19/10 to net anytime.
