Swans scrap Sunderland for survival

At the beginning of the Premier League season, Swansea City would have been looking to challenge for European positions once again but, after dismissing Garry Monk previously, they find themselves battling Sunderland in a crucial relegation clash.

The Swans sit just two points adrift of the drop zone and have endured a torrid campaign so far, but under the guidance of newly-appointed interim coach Alan Curtis, they are 33/20 with Coral to win to nil.

Sam Allardyce’s Black Cats are 4/1 to triumph, though a draw is a likely outcome in Wales, with the two side’s last three meetings ending with a share of the spoils.

Bafetimbi Gomis is 9/2 to open the scoring for the hosts, while Sunderland hitman Jermain Defoe is 2/1 to net anytime at the Liberty Stadium.

Blues battle Baggies at Bridge

Chelsea will look to continue their domestic revival under temporary boss Guus Hiddink when they welcome West Bromwich Albion to Stamford Bridge, a side which they have not lost to at home since 1984.

The seemingly rejuvenated Blues are 27/10 to win and both teams get on the scoresheet on home turf, but Tony Pulis’ Baggies are 7/1 to cause an upset, having thrashed their opponents 3-0 last term at The Hawthorns.

Diego Costa is starting to rediscover his clinical edge and is 11/4 to open proceedings in London this time out, while controversial West Brom poacher Saido Berahino is 7/2 to strike anytime after his recent FA Cup goal over Bristol City.

Man City clash with Toffees again

Everton will seek to emulate their recent Capital One Cup heroics over top-flight title-chasers Manchester City when they make the midweek trip to the Etihad for a domestic dust-up.

Roberto Martinez took a 2-1 first half lead over the Sky Blues in their League Cup tie and the Merseysiders are now 5/1 for their first victory on the blue half of Manchester since 2010.

Romelu Lukaku bagged the late winner in that previous cup win and the bulldozing Belgium international is 6/1 to net last again, with Sergio Aguero 7/2 for a brace or more this time around.

In-form Spurs ready for Leicester liaison

Both Tottenham and Leicester City have been flying high this season, with the Foxes currently two points off top spot and Spurs sitting in fourth spot, but something has to give when they collide at White Hart Lane this midweek.

The previous two encounters have ended all square, including their recent FA Cup stalemate, and another draw is 11/4 to occur in London, though Claudio Ranieri’s in-form Foxes are 7/2 to prevail.

Harry Kane confidently dispatched a last-gasp penalty to secure Spurs a cup replay last time out and is 3/1 to strike last again, while Jamie Vardy is 7/4 to score yet again on his return to action.

Southampton v Watford

Saints seek Watford home success

Watford have not managed to overcome Southampton since October 2008 but, after becoming this season’s surprise promoted package, the Hornets are 3/1 to sting the Saints and secure another impressive three points.

Ronald Koeman’s south coast side have been underwhelming this term but are evens to get back on track with home ruling, and vital Republic of Ireland poacher Shane Long is 6/5 to strike anytime at St Mary’s.

Meanwhile, the clinical form of Odion Ighalo could be a problem for Southampton, with the deadly Hornets hitman 7/4 to bag another goal, with strike partner and skipper Troy Deeney 13/2 to open proceedings.

Stoke City v Norwich City

Stoke clash with Canaries at Britannia

The previous season encounter between Stoke City and Norwich City ended in a tight 1-1 stalemate and another level pegging can be had at 12/5, though the visiting Canaries are 3/1 to triumph on their travels.

The Potters have not emerged victorious in this fixture since 2013 but Bojan Krkic will be key to any success this time out and is 9/2 to score first, while Norwich marksman Cameron Jerome is 7/4 to strike anytime.
