Coral take a look at five more possible signings for Sunderland, 3/1 with Coral to stay up this season, after the signing of centre back Jan Kirchhoff from Bayern Munich.
Sam Allardyce has forged his reputation on keeping teams in the Premier League and after a handful positive results since he took over, there is just cause to believe that he can repeat this with the Black Cats.
Though, the transfer window is where ‘Big Sam’ usually thrives, often identifying exactly the right type of player who can help his teams survive. We take a look at five more possible recruits.
Andros Townsend
The Spurs winger has stated his desire to leave Spurs and it is no secret that he is surplus to requirements, so a move to Sunderland, even on loan would give the 24-year-old a chance to try and force his way into Roy Hodgson’s England squad for Euro 2016 this summer in France.

Under Allardyce, Townsend would be encouraged to express himself and even take the initiative to launch attacks, so could be exactly what the Black Cats need.
Marc Wilson
Stoke City’s utility player could be available and would be a very useful addition to Sunderland’s squad for the second half of the season. Wilson is used to playing in sides who are renowned for scrapping, as was his role under Tony Pulis at the Potters.
The 28-year-old would add vital experience to the Wearside outfit and may relish the chance of regular football to boost his chances of making Republic of Ireland’s Euro 2016 squad.
Darron Gibson
With Everton boss Roberto Martinez recently stating that he may let the midfielder leave, Gibson would be a fantastic addition to Sunderland’s squad. A hard-worker who has a lethal long-range shot on him, his presence would add real steel to the midfield.
Serge Gnabry
Having hardly played while on loan at West Bromwich Albion, Gnabry may be of more interest to Allardyce, despite recent links with a loan move to Brighton. There is no doubt that the attacker has talent and may relish the chance to help keep Sunderland in the Premier League.

Zach Clough
Strikers in the Premier League are in somewhat short supply, so adding the talented Clough from Championship side Bolton could be a real coup, though Sunderland may need to part with at least £3m. The 20-year-old, who has been linked with a number of clubs, due to his scoring exploits this term, could be a breath of fresh air for the Black Cats and revitalise the forward line.
