Djokovic 7-2 to do calendar Grand Slam in 2016
Novak Djokovic is 7-2 with leading bookmaker Coral to complete the calendar Grand Slam in 2016 after winning the Australian Open this morning for the sixth time in his career. The world number one is odds-on at 5-6 to follow up his success in Melbourne with victory in the French Open, while he is now 4-7 with Coral to finish his career with more Grand Slam titles than Roger Federer.
Andy Murray, who has now been beaten in the Australian Open final on five different occasions, is 6-4 to win a Grand Slam in 2016.
“Novak Djokovic is proving to be the punters’ best friend in sport as they back the Serbian confidently ahead of each Grand Slam and he rarely lets them down, with this latest result once again proving to be a costly result for Britain’s bookmakers,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“Djokovic was well backed to complete the calendar Grand Slam ahead of the Australian Open and after victory in Melbourne, we are seeing more money for the world number one to win the three remaining Slams in 2016,” added Hill.
