Coral’s bet of the day

  • West Ham United have beaten Liverpool twice this season
  • The Hammers didn’t conceded at all in those wins
  • Slaven Bilic’s men secured a 3-0 win last time at Anfield

West Ham 5/2 to down Liverpool

It’s the FA Cup fourth round that takes the starring role this weekend, and Coral’s latest bet of the day comes from the clash between Liverpool and West Ham United, with the Hammers 5/2 for a third successive fixture victory.

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Liverpool v West Ham United - Anfield

Slaven Bilic’s impressive east Londoners make the trip to Anfield hoping for further success over Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, having already toppled them twice both home and away in the Premier League this season.

The Hammers earned a 3-0 triumph on the red half of Merseyside at the beginning of the current campaign, before rallying to another 2-0 win at Upton Park earlier this month. With such confidence ahead of their fourth round tie, and added pressure of playing on home soil, Liverpool may face more misery this time around.

Hammers hold huge momentum for Reds clash

As well as their two consecutive victories, West Ham have also prevailed in three of the previous four match-ups since last term, proving they have the momentum and blueprint to extend that rampant record this weekend.

Despite an earlier top-flight setback against Newcastle United, the Hammers have been impressive of late, winning four straight games before that Toon mishap and holding Manchester City to a 2-2 draw on home soil.

The return of pivotal French playmaker Dimitri Payet has been a massive boost for Bilic’s capital club, while Ecuador marksman Enner Valencia has enjoyed a surge in front of goal, having dispatched a deadly double past Man City.

Klopp’s Merseysiders have been on a stuttering run of form of late, winning just two of their last six games within 90 minutes, having needed a penalty shootout to overcome Stoke City and reach the Capital One Cup final.

So make sure to back the Hammers to prevail over Liverpool once again in one of Saturday’s televised FA Cup fourth round clashes.
