Irish Cavalier tops betting for Caspian Caviar Gold Cup

Irish Cavalier has been cut to 6-1 (from 8-1) by leading bookmaker Coral to win the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup at Cheltenham on Saturday. The Rebecca Curtis-trained runner tops the five-day declaration list ahead of Little Jon and Sound Investment who are both available at 8-1.

Coral is also betting on a number of races from the Hong Kong International Races this weekend. Flintshire is the 7-4 favourite to win the Hong Kong Vase, Able Friend tops the betting at 5-4 for the Hong Kong Mile, while Free Eagle has been installed as the 3-1 market leader for the Hong Kong Cup.

“Irish Cavalier ran well in the Paddy Power Gold Cup last month and we make Rebecca Curtis’ runner the favourite to come on for that run and score in this field at Prestbury Park in the feature race on Saturday afternoon,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“There is some excellent racing on the flat from Hong Kong this weekend where there could be some European success as Flintshire tops the betting for the Hong Kong Vase, while Free Eagle is the market leader in the Hong Kong Cup,” added Hill.
