Foxes on the hunt

Leicester City should not feel any fear as they host Premier League champions Chelsea at King Power Stadium, and Coral have priced the hosts at a tremendous 21/10 to take all three points.

No longer would it be a shock for the fast pace of the Foxes’ forwards to bamboozle the sluggish Blues, as Leicester have been beaten just once in the league all season, having previously pinched points off Manchester United and Tottenham, as well as running eventual conquerors Arsenal ragged.

Only behind league leaders Manchester City on goal difference, but with this game of Monday Night Football in hand, Claudio Ranieri’s defiant dark horses could climb top if they at least claim a point, which is tasty at 12/5 to unfold.

Ranieri’s return to haunt former club Chelsea and bitter foe, plus Blues successor, Jose Mourinho, would be complete if the savvy Italian could scale the summit while simultaneously condemning the capital club to a ninth league defeat. Hovering just a handful of points above the relegation zone, Chelsea seem short at 11/8 to take the spoils.

Vardy’s “beautiful story”

Key to stealing the Stamford Bridge side’s scalp will of course be the electric speed of ferocious Foxes forwards Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, with the potent pairing certainly no slouches in the scoring department.

Speaking of Vardy’s romantic rise from League two football to England caps and smashing Premier League records, Mourinho, who has been linked with a move for the lethal marksman stated: “It is a beautiful story and his record is historical.

“I don’t think next season someone will come and beat his record, it is not an easy one to do. He is top scorer and it is normal that big clubs want him. It is normal.”

Punters can back Vardy at an excellent 11/2 to fire in first, while recent hat-trick hero Mahrez is 7/4 to work his magic anytime, or 9/1 to bag a brace or better again.

Chelsea Blues to continue?

Could Chelsea have turned a corner after qualifying for the latter stages of the Champions League? With Eden Hazard toiling and Diego Costa out of form it is tough to see where a match winner will come from, as well as the heart to battle the Foxes’ fizz.

Still, though the Midlands hosts have bagged a few shut-outs of late, clean sheets have generally been few and far between. While, the Blues should be buoyed by their midweek achievement and have an excellent record against these opponents, meaning a Leicester win and both teams to score looks tasty at 19/4 here.

Brazilian Willian will be keep to capitalise on any set-piece opportunity and, after scoring again last time out, is 11/4 to pounce anytime. Or, back summer signing Pedro to produce the goods at the same superb price in that goal market.
