Poaching Pierre?

Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the subject of much speculation linking him with moves to a host of new employers, with Manchester United, Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea all reportedly interested in the striker’s services.

With 25 goals in 22 appearances this season, he has been one of the most prolific players in Europe and understandably is in demand. United, 11/2 with Coral to win the Premier League, have struggled for goals this term and are said to be on the lookout for an attacker so the Gabon international may just fit the bill.

Atleti activating Costa comeback

Chelsea’s Diego Costa could be rescued from his nightmare this season by former club Atletico Madrid who could trigger a £28m release clause in the Spain striker’s contract.

Having hit the ground running in the Premier League last term, the 27-year-old has struggled this campaign, however, he is not the only Blues player to do so.

Arguably, Argentinian coach Diego Simeone got the best out of Costa, in his time at Atleti and if he can nurture this back out of him, the club will once again have a realistic chance of holding off Real Madrid and Barcelona to win La Liga.

Whether Chelsea negotiate a part-exchange with the capital club, such as Jackson Martinez or Luciano Vietto going the other way remains to be seen, though the Blues will certainly need a quality replacement.

Guardiola going to Man City?

After Manchester City sold a stake in the club for £265m to Chinese investors, it has sparked reports that the club are preparing the readies to make a move to lure Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola to the Etihad.

This, however, is said to be just part of their plan, with the other but being a blockbuster bid for Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, with ambitions to reunite the duo in their bid to dominate Europe.
