Ready to Lew-erage a deal

Manchester United, 9/1 with Coral to win the Premier League are preparing to strengthen their strikeforce and have identified one of Europe’s most lethal forwards.

Reports indicate that the club have set aside £10.9m per year for Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, who will appear at Euro 2016 for Poland next summer.

United have struggled to score goals all season and having seen Javier Hernandez join Bayern’s rivals Bayer Leverkusen in the summer are desperate to bring in a striker with Lewandowski earmarked as the go-to man.

Following rumours of Pep Guardiola’s proposed move to Manchester City at the end of the season, Lewandowski may be tempted to jump ship.

Pelle to be Saint or sinner?

Meanwhile, Southampton’s Graziano Pelle is said to be on Chelsea’s radar on January, with the club needing a centre forward.

The Blues are said to be weighing up a bid for the Italy international in the winter window and the 30-year-old will undoubtedly face a hard decision.

An opportunity to become the main man at the Premier League champions and help to resurrect their season, could be too good a chance to turn down, though with Euro 2016 next summer, he will want to make sure he is at the right club to give him the best possible shot of making Italy’s final squad.

Krkic kicker?

Stoke City forward Bojan Krkic is understood to have been lined up by Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea to strengthen their strikeforce.

His injection of artistry could well have a positive effect on each club’s second half of the season, with the former Barcelona player being one of the Potters’ best players so far.

The Reds have also been linked to Schalke’s 24-year-old Cameroon centre back Joel Matip whose contract expires next summer, as well as 18-year-old Basel striker Breel Embolo, who is under scrutiny by Man Utd as well.
