Bet of the day

  • Abel Hernandez has already dispatched nine goals for club and country
  • The Uruguayan has been on losing side just once when he has scored
  • Hull City are 11 places and points ahead of Reading in Championship table
  • Hernandez leads the Tigers scoring charts so far this season

Hernandez 3/1 to strike in a Hull win

The Championship action continues tonight as Hull City host Reading, and Coral’s bet of the day is a magnificent 3/1 on the Tigers earning three points and their top scorer Abel Hernandez striking at anytime, with a £20 max stake.

Soccer - Capital One Cup - Fourth Round - Hull City v Leicester City - KC Stadium

Steve Bruce’s Tigers are on the march towards a hopeful promotion spot in the second tier this season, having dropped from the Premier League last term, and they are currently sitting pretty in an encouraging fourth position, just five points adrift of leaders Middlesbrough.

Hull will be boosted in confidence by the fact they have not lost to Reading since November 2005, having drawn the previous two encounters following that result and more recently winning back-to-back games in the 2011/12 campaign.

The hosts have been superb at the KC Stadium domestically this term, having so far lost just a single meeting to Derby County last month from their previous 10 home soil tussles, which also includes seven victories. As well as such a dominant run, they hold a supreme defensive record, conceding just five times in those 10 home clashes.

Hull hitman Hernandez in fine form

Although, going forward they are a dangerous threat too, especially with their top scorer Hernandez once again brimming with confidence in front of goal. The 25-year-old former Palermo poacher has dispatched eight times this season to rally atop of his club’s goal charts, while also chipping in with a World Cup qualifying strike for his nation Uruguay over Colombia in October.

With nine goals in all competitions for club and country, the former Serie A attacker will be firing on all cylinders once again on his latest club outing against Reading, who have conceded 23 goals domestically this campaign, 10 more than Hull.

So make sure to back Hernandez to continue his rich run of form by striking in another Hull triumph on home soil at 3/1, with a £20 max stake, during tonight’s Championship action!
