Spurs seek top four place

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are odds-on with Coral at 4/7 to beat West Ham United at home and, having not recorded a win in this fixture in two attempts so , Tottenham will be more than motivated for the victory, being just three points off a Premier League top four spot, with Manchester United currently occupying it at the moment.

Last season, a 90th minute goal from Harry Kane rescued a draw and, with the centre forward having struck five goals in his last three Premier League matches, he is good value at 7/2 to strike two or more goals.

Spurs have looked good recently and are starting to gel, following a summer reshuffle and change of tactics, while more arrivals in the winter window could give them the impetus they need to challenge.

All-action Alli

Following his first international goal against France for England in midweek, 19-year-old Dele Alli is bound to be high on confidence and at 7/2 to strike anytime is good value. Having also struck in Spurs’ last home league match in the 3-1 victory over Aston Villa, he has further incentive as he seeks to score in consecutive domestic matches at White Hart Lane.

Boss Pochettino, meanwhile, is erring on the side of caution where the youngster is concerned: “I think we need to be careful with him because a lot of things have changed with him now, in his new reality,” said the Argentinian “We need to protect him.

“It’s impossible to stop all of that around him but we need to protect him to try to make sure he keeps his feet on the ground so he can keep developing his potential.”

Midfield partner Moussa Dembele has also been impressive lately. With two goals in three matches across all competitions, he is also 7/2 in the anytime market and the Belgian looks like a new player this term.

Lanzini or Zarate the men to replace Payet?

A major injury blow to new summer signing Dimitri Payet has left Hammers boss Slaven Billic contemplating his options. However, for Payet, the answer is simple: “I am very confident that the team can do well without me and that the coach can find a solution to carry on this good run,” the player said.

“That is what a team is about and everyone needs to perform at their best. Manuel Lanzini and Mauro Zarate are very good players and I have no doubts they will perform well in my absence and bring the team exactly what it needs.”

Lanzini, who dispatched first against Everton last time out, is available at 9/1 to break the deadlock, while Zarate, who opened the scoring in the 2-1 win over Chelsea is 11/4 in the anytime market. Frontman Andy Carroll will also be hoping to get in on the act and see if he can really test this Spurs rearguard. The centre forward also struck against the Blues and is well priced at 2/1 to notch at any point.
