Kane to lead Spurs scoring charge again

Four of the last six Premier League meetings between London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea have contained four goals or more and, with the hosts sporting a rejuvenated striker, this trend could well continue.

Britain Soccer Premier League

Harry Kane has netted nine in his previous six Spurs outings, and is on a streak of scoring the opener too, breaking the deadlock in each of the last four. He also bagged a brace against the Blues back on New Year’s Day during a memorable 5-3 thriller.

Coral make Kane an awesome 11/2 chance to strike first once again, as narrow 8/5 match favourites Tottenham welcome 9/5 chances Chelsea to White Hart Lane. A draw at 23/10 cannot be ruled out either, with four of the last eight league encounters ending level.

In terms of goal-related bets, over 3.5 at 21/10 is worth a wager and so is Spurs to win and both teams to score at 18/5.

Pochettino’s pups taking on all comers

Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino has built a young team that play a high-pressing game and that should ruffle the feathers of counterpart Jose Mourinho, whose Blues have mounted among the poorest of title defences in history.

This explains why Chelsea are 10 places and as many Premier League points worse off than Tottenham, so punters should not read too much into the 4-0 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv last time out.

Belgium midfielder Mousa Dembele has been linked with the Blues in this week’s gossip columns, so what better way for him to stoke speculation even further by scoring at 11/2 in the anytime market?

England’s bright prospect Dele Alli, meanwhile, earned a Man of the Match award in his last London derby outing against Arsenal, but the teenage talent is suspended for this fixture and his industry shall be missed.

Hazard and Terry to be Blues heroes?

Although he’s had a poor season by his very high standards, Eden Hazard loves scoring against Spurs. Chelsea’s struggling star has netted in each of his last three league meetings with them, and Hazard is a tasty 2/1 chance to keep this up.

Blues skipper John Terry, meanwhile, was carried off in midweek and will be a huge miss if absent because of his fine recent record of three in four, nicking goals from set-pieces in this fixture. Should he be fit to lead Chelsea out, Terry is an awesome 8/1 anytime chance.

Israel Champions League Soccer

Willian netted yet another free-kick in midweek, and is a tasty 10/3 to be on target again against Tottenham – a club that courted him before the Blues came calling.

Coral’s top tip: Kane is the man bang in-form, so that 11/2 price for him to score first should reward punters.
