Jay McGuiness is now odds-on at 4-5 with leading bookmaker Coral to win Strictly Come Dancing after another impressive performance this weekend which saw him go odds-on for the first time this series. His nearest rival in the betting is Peter Andre who is second best at 6-1, while Helen George can be backed at 15-2.

In the elimination betting this weekend, Kirsty Gallacher was 11-10 to depart before she lost the dance off and become the latest celebrity to leave the dancing show on Halloween weekend.

“He’s hardly put a foot wrong all series and on the back on another solid performance, Jay is now odds-on to win the Glitter ball trophy where he will prove a costly result for the bookmakers if he does go on to win the show,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Kirsty had gone off favourite for a number of weeks now in our elimination betting, however, it appears she run out of lives this weekend as those who backed her to depart got it right this time around,” added Hill.
