Coral’s Rumour Reel: Spain-heavy transfer talk on Tuesday

With the winter transfer window fast approaching, talk of transfers is hotting up and Tuesday sees Spanish-based players and La Liga clubs the subject of much of the rumours.

La Liga clubs busy ahead of winter window

As always, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo is being linked with moves around Europe, with former side Manchester United and PSG possible destinations, and many believe he will depart at the end of the season.

Los Blancos will therefore be looking to find replacements for the Portuguese superstar, and the likes of Santos’ Lucas Lima and Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia are said to be targets for the 10-time Champions League winners (5/1 with Coral for an 11th).

The latter, however, is reportedly being scouted by Liverpool too, and it seems the Merseysiders have become a club many want to play for since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp.

Lanzini fancies Liverpool move?

One man, West Ham United loanee Manuel Lanzini, has even stated he would be interested in a move to Anfield. “I heard the President say that the club wants me to stay,” he said. “It’s an absolute honour that a team like Liverpool has put an eye on me.”

Elsewhere in Spain, meanwhile, and up to Catalonia, Man Utd are tracking Barcelona defender Marc Bartra, according to reports in the country, as Louis van Gaal looks to find a sure partner for Chris ‘Mike’ Smalling at the back.

Champions League 3/1 second-favourites Barca are also looking to bolster up their attack, as perhaps the recent loss of Lionel Messi to injury for a short while has sparked the club into getting cover in case it happens again.

Diminutive former Juventus attacker Sebastian Giovinco, currently enjoying a prolific spell with MLS outfit Toronto FC, is among their targets.

Man Utd look to Championship for young talent

Going back to the Premier League and Man Utd (4/1 title chances), the Old Trafford side are said to be looking to delve into the Championship. Fulham’s Moussa Dembele, not to be confused with Tottenham’s Mousa Dembele, and Leeds United teenager Lewis Cook being names thrown into the hat.

Wonderkid midfielder Cook has also gained interest from the likes of Liverpool, Stoke City and Bournemouth, however, and unfortunately for Whites fans it seems it is only a matter of time until they lose their starlet.

Moving down to London, Arsenal need a replacement for injured Frenchman Francis Coquelin, with no more than six names being linked such as Lars Bender, William Carvalho, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Biglia, Vicente Koziello and Nampalys Mendy.

We round off the Rumour Reel, with some more surprising news that Red Devils skipper Wayne Rooney is being targeted by China, as they want him to front their campaign for their Super League to dramatically grow in stature.
