Coral’s bet of the day

  • Spurs sit 10 Premier League places and as many points above Chelsea
  • Tottenham also trounced the Blues 5-3 on home turf last term
  • Both teams have scored in the past seven White Hart Lane wrangles in all competitions

Tottenham 18/5 to beat Chelsea and both teams to score

Spurs welcome capital competitors Chelsea to White Hart Lane in the Premier League’s headline weekend fixture, so Coral highlight a brilliant bet of the day for customers to snap-up on Sunday.

In this London match-up, there are excellent odds to be had, with Tottenham 18/5 to beat the Blues and both teams to get on the scoresheet.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men remain unbeaten at home in the Premier League, across a superb run of seven scuffles, despite visits from the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

Also undefeated in the English top-tier since the opening day, encompassing 12 games, it is tough to see a sub-par Chelsea team rocking that record, when even Arsenal could not find a way to stop such a rampant run.

Should punters need reminding, Tottenham toyed with Jose Mourinho’s boys at fortress White Hart Lane last season, when the Blues were at their best, emerging as 5-3 winners.

Hitman and homegrown hero Harry Kane starred in that mauling, bagging a brace, and his stats should concern the Stamford Bridge side ahead of this clash, as the England net threat has notched nine in his last six across all competitions.

Bad start a bitter pill for Blues to swallow

Goal hero Kane’s dangerous form will be daunting for a Premier League rearguard that has leaked 23 goals so far, one more than rock-bottom Aston Villa.

Chelsea have shocking won only four league fixtures, in a dismal defence of their title, with only one of those occurring on the road, a stat that does not bode well for this trip to White Hart Lane.

Though, Chelsea should have a chance of grabbing a goal against a Spurs side which has kept one clean sheet from the last seven in all competitions. With Diego Costa, Oscar and Willian in the ranks, there is potential to pierce the Spurs backline, but likely not enough in the tank for a triumph.
