Coral’s bet of the day

  • Fletcher has scored three times in his two away games at Palace
  • Scot has netted four times in the league this term
  • Despite Sunderland being in bad form, he has three goals in last five games

Fletcher a fantastic 2/1 to score anytime

Fancy earning a quick and easy buck on Monday evening? Then look no further than Coral’s pick for the bet of the day, with tasty odds of 2/1 available for Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher to score anytime in the Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace.

The Scotland international has been in fine form for his club and country this season, despite neither side gaining much success, but that doesn’t matter for this market.

Since Sam Allardyce took over the Black Cats’ hot seat, it is clear that Fletcher has been his main man, and he has certainly repaid his faith by netting in two of his first four games, including getting a goal in the win over bitter rivals Newcastle United.

That means that he now has three strikes in his last five matches for Sunderland in the league, on top of the four for Scotland he has in his previous two, where he hit a hat-trick against Gibraltar and got another cracker in a draw with Poland.

Fletcher now happens to be facing a team he loves scoring against on the road, as he has scored three times in just two appearances at Palace’s Selhurst Park ground.

Two of them came in the surprise 3-1 win over the Eagles just over a year ago last term in which he opened and closed the scoring, while the other was in a reverse 3-1 loss the season before.

With the likes of other forwards Jermain Defoe, Fabio Borini and Danny Graham seemingly unfavoured by Big Sam, Fletcher’s price to net anytime is too good not to back, so what are you waiting for Coral punters?
