Coral’s bet of the day details a sublime selection in the match between Norway and Hungary as the Euro 2016 play-offs get underway. Interested? Keep reading!

Goals galore

In the last three fixtures between these two sides (the most times they have ever met), Norway have scored more than two goals in each match, winning each one and are, therefore, 3/1 in a matchday special to win by two or more.

Their first Euro 2008 qualifying game in 2006 finished 4-1 to the Scandinavian nation, with former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scoring a brace, while Fredrik Stromstad and Morten Gamst Pedersen added the others.

The reverse fixture at home, ended in a 4-0 thrashing, as another striker bagged a brace. This time it was John Carew, though forwards were again the them in this fixture, with Steffen Iversen and Daniel Braaten also netting.

Most recently in 2012 during an international friendly, the Norwegians secured a 2-0 victory as Havard Nielsen and Mohammed Abdellaoue got on the scoresheet.

Tettey a top tip

In qualifying, Norwich City’s Alexander Tettey is Norway’s top scorer on three goals and is a great 11/2 shout to strike again in the anytime market.

Having captained the Canaries last time out, the 29-year-old goes into the play-off in high spirits: “I feel we have a chance but they are not far from us,” Tettey revealed confidently. “So we will just have to play a good game at home on Thursday.”

“It’s very important to play for Norway and in important games like that,” continued Tettey who now has 28 caps for his adopted country, having originally been born in Ghana.

“The people are expecting us to qualify and we have to deliver, so there is pressure there as well. That’s what I’m working for.”

Strikers theme of fixture

Past matches suggest that strikes will figure heavily during this match, so Alexander Soderlund and Marcus Pedersen are well worth a bet at 7/1 and 9/1 respectively to score two or more.
