Yanagihara hot favourite to win Man Booker prize

| 12.10.2015

Leading bookmaker Coral make Hanya Yanagihara’s A Little Life the clear favourite at 6-4 to win this year’s Man Booker prize. Sunjeev Sahota’s The Year of the Runaways has been chalked up as the second favourite, while Marlon James’ A Brief History of Seven Killing’s is also a strong contender to pick up the accolade tomorrow at odds of 4-1.

At 10-1, the outsiders are Anne Tyler’s A Spool of Blue Thread, Chigozie Obioma’s The Fisherman, and Tom McCarthy’s Satin Island.

“Punters seem convinced that Yanagihara will scoop the Booker prize tomorrow, but this is one ceremony that is often difficult to predict so we aren’t totally convinced that we have the right favourite,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
