Which players could move to the Premier League in January?

With the first half of the Premier League season already nearly over, quite a few of the new arrivals have barely had chance to properly settle in. While clubs in the English top-flight spent a record amount in the summer transfer window, it is unlikely to prevent even more outlay in January.

It has been a floundering start from champions Chelsea and having started the season as short favourites, they are now 16/1 with Coral to win retain the title, behind Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Liverpool, 9/4 with Coral for a top four finish, has been gripped by Jurgen Klopp mania following the Reds’ appointment of the German and January could present an opportunity for him to start to bring in his own players.

Over the next couple of months, there will no doubt be a number of names linked to various Premier League clubs, though Coral suggest five for now, who could possibly move.

Andriy Yarmolenko
The Ukrainian international is one of the most sought-after players in Europe and, while Barcelona have reportedly shown an interest, the queue is quite extensive. Chelsea is a possibility, however, Liverpool were linked in the summer and now with Klopp at the helm, the chance to play under him might be to much of a draw to resist.

Ignacio Camacho
One who has the potential to step into Xabi Alonso’s shoes, the Malaga midfielder could well have a number of potential suitors in January, with the Gunners in need of a defensive midfielder.

Denis Cheryshev
Having played just 13 minutes for Real Madrid so far this season, the Russian winger could be a credible target in January for a number of clubs. Again, the Reds have been linked, though Manchester City could show an interest if they want more options out wide.

Andrea Ranocchia
Inter Milan’s defender has been linked with a move to a number of Premier League clubs recently and his experience could certainly add something to the likes of Newcastle and Everton, while his fee shouldn’t exceed anymore than £10m.

Aleksandr Kokorin
A late deadline day loan bid by Arsenal was reportedly rejected by the Russian attacker’s club Dinamo Moscow and Arsene Wenger could return for the prodigious talent in January.
