Solow eased for QE II as Gleneagles is backed for winning return

| 11.10.2015

Gleneagles is 7-4 (from 3-1) second favourite with Coral for Saturday’s Queen Elizabeth II Stakes sponsored by Qipco, following decent support for the dual-Classic winning miler in the last 24 hours.  French raider Solow remains favourite for the race, but has been eased to a top priced 11-8 (from 10-11) by Coral.

“With Aidan O’Brien’s charge having not had suitably quick going conditions since Royal Ascot, Gleneagles’ backers will be hoping Ascot enjoys a dry week ahead of Saturday’s action, and if that is the case, with the Ballydoyle team in such strong form at present, there is every chance the colt could yet start favourite ahead of Solow,” reckoned Coral’s David Stevens.

O’Brien’s Found has been in demand for the Qipco Champion Stakes, and is 7-1 (from 10-1) with Coral for the ten furlong highlight, for which Jack Hobbs heads the market at 5-4.
