Premier League: Take City to win but concede in Manchester derby

City still a threat without derby predator Aguero
Sidelined star striker Sergio Aguero has scored half of Manchester City’s last dozen derby goals against neighbours United, so Manuel Pellegrini’s men will have to try and win at Old Trafford without him.
Despite the additional absence of creative Spaniard David Silva, Coral still make Premier League leaders Man City 7/4 chances for victory away on Super Sunday, and they owe this price to attacking trio Wilfried Bony, Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling all stepping up.
With a dozen goals between them across all competitions, the visiting threat the Red Devils need to deal with will be varied. Manchester United, narrow 31/20 favourites to win, have their own emerging forward force in Anthony Martial and Juan Mata posting some decent form at home. Derby draws are very rare, so that is reflected by odds of 23/10.
Don’t you forget about Toure
City have won four of the last five Manchester derbies, reflecting the broad trend of two Premier League titles in the last four years, and Aguero apart, Yaya Toure has plenty of scoring experience in this fixture to draw upon. Anytime odds of 7/2 for the Ivorian are awesome considering he has three in his last six against United.
Bony (15/8), De Bruyne (next best value at 11/4) and Sterling (2/1) are all shorter than Toure in that market, but all have more freedom to get forward in their first true taste of Manchester derby action. See who from the Etihad features in our combined Manchester XI.
Man City’s run of six straight victories coming into this clash is certainly impressive, but they have also conceded a goal per game as Pellegrini tries to pick his best centre back pairing from Vincent Kompany, Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolas Otamendi. Nifty odds of 19/5 are on offer, then, for an away win and both teams being on target.
Recent history says goals galore
Add in magnificent Man Utd summer signing Martial, 6/1 to score last, and tasty 10/3 anytime chance Mata, who has scored in his last two Old Trafford outings, into the mix, and there is plenty of evidence to suggest the trend of high-scoring Manchester fixtures will continue.
Six strikes flew in at the Theatre of Dreams back in April, and that makes a 2/1 price on the match total being over 3.5 goals again tempting as half a dozen of the last 10 derbies have had scorelines exceeding that amount.
Taking 20/1 on a 3-1 away day delight for City is a terrific price, and surely worth a punt with a couple of pounds wagered.
