Crocked Cherries could capitulate to Tottenham

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Swansea City v Tottenham Hotspur - Liberty Stadium
Mauricio Pochettino will be looking for a response from his Spurs side, following a disappointing showing in Belgium against Anderlecht in the Europa League last time out, when they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat. At 6/5 with Coral to beat Bournemouth, Tottenham need to show much more of a cutting edge.

Christian Eriksen, was perhaps, the only positive to come out of their midweek match, after a smart finish and the Dane is well-priced at 2/1 to net in the anytime market.

The two teams have never met in modern times, an FA Cup tie in 1957 being the only occasion, when the Cherries recorded a 3-1 win over the north London outfit, however, it could well be a very different story this time around.

Eddie Howe is troubled by a number of worrying injuries, with Callum Wilson, Artur Boruc, Tyrone Mings, Harry Arter and Max Gradel all unavailable.

The Bournemouth boss has been heavily reliant on veteran striker Glenn Murray for goals since Wilson was ruled out and the former Crystal Palace man has struck in consecutive games.

At 6/4 in the anytime market, he could be worth a punt, with Spurs showing defensive frailties against Anderlecht and he has the physical edge to worry them.

Spurs haven’t won in the Premier League since beating Manchester City 4-1 at the end of September, having recorded consecutive draws.

Can Hurri-Kane blow Bournemouth away?

Soccer - Capital One Cup - Third Round - Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal - White Hart Lane
Spurs’ star man from last season, Harry Kane has only struck once for Spurs this season, in the victory over Man City, though has found the net twice while on international duty for England.

He may well identified this as a match where he could potentially boost his goal tally and is 5/1 to score two or more.

Much depends on his supply line though, and if Eriksen and Erik Lamela can feed him with the right balls, Kane is more than capable of doing the business.

Youngster Clinton N’Jie could potentially feature, though like Kane, is yet to make a real impact for the club this term, but could be worth considering at 2/1 in the anytime market and may not get a better chance to impress.

Howe can Cherries get a result?

Bournemouth v Southampton - Pre Season Friendly
If the fans turn up in their numbers, they can really get behind Bournemouth and create a hostile atmosphere for the visitors. A 12th man might be exactly what they need to inspire a positive result, though will need everyone to really step up.

Howe needs to muster motivation in his team talk and place emphasis on the impact that the likes of Joshua King and Matt Richie can have, encouraging them to run at the Spurs rearguard and get in behind their defence.

At 15/8 and 2/1 respectively to find the net in the anytime market, if afforded space to rattle off shots at will, they may just hit the back of the net, while the cunning of Yann Kermogant could be useful, with the 33-year-old Frenchman 13/2 to open the scoring.
