After a pulsating week of international action, the Premier League returns to our screens this weekend, which is set to be met with much anticipation.

As Tottenham prepare to play host to Liverpool, which is Reds’ new manager Jurgen Klopp’s first game in charge, Coral take a look at a combined XI of players from both sides with the visitors 15/8 with Coral for the win. Keep reading to see if you agree with our selection!

Soccer - Jurgen Klopp Press Conference - Anfield

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris
Has to be included and is arguably one of the best goalkeepers in the world on his day, the Spurs man is a decent shot-stopper and has a good command of his defence.

Right back: Nathaniel Clyne
Has been impressive since moving to the Reds and can establish himself as the regular right back for England in years to come.

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Liverpool v West Ham United - Anfield

Centre back: Toby Alderweireld
A reliable choice at the heart of defence and was a crucial part of Southampton’s last campaign. Good on the ball and reads the game well.

Centre back: Jan Vertonghen
Like his compatriot, the duo can form a very strong partnership at the back and provides Spurs with a firm foundation to build on.

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Tottenham Hotspur v Stoke City - White Hart Lane

Left back: Alberto Moreno
An attacking presence, he has an element of international teammate Jordi Alba about him, though needs to strengthen the defensive side. Scored a wondergoal at White Hart Lane last season as the Reds won 3-0 and is 7/1 to strike again anytime.

Centre midfielder: James Milner
Should Klopp apply his much hyped ‘Geggenpressing’ tactics at the Reds, Milner won’t take any acclimatising to this style as closing down is naturally part of his game. Could become a key component under the German.

Centre midfielder: Jordan Henderson
Has an element of Ilkay Gundogan about him and his new boss may attempt to mould his game slightly, which could work wonders for the Reds skipper. A box-to-box presence, with an eye for a pass he has everything to be a world class player.

Malaysia Liverpool Soccer

Attacking midfielder: Erik Lamela
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has worked wonders with his fellow Argentinian, who always had talent, but has just begun to show it consistently this season. After a string of good performances, he deserves a mention.

Attacking midfielder: Christian Eriksen
A class act, the Dane simply makes Spurs tick. Blessed with talent, flair and an eye for goal Liverpool must be wary of his ability to drift in between their lines.

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City - White Hart Lane

Attacking midfielder: Philippe Coutinho
Since Luis Suarez left, the Brazilian has been one of the players who has shown that he can help to fill the Uruguayan’s void. Struck a wonder goal in the first game of the season away at Stoke City and is 11/4 to net anytime.

Striker: Daniel Sturridge
Two goals since coming back from injury makes him first choice ahead of opposite number and England colleague Harry Kane. It will be interesting to see whether Klopp can turn him into one of Europe’s best strikers as he did with Robert Lewandowski at Borussia Dortmund, while Sturridge is 6/1 to break the deadlock at White Hart Lane.
