Mullins now second favourite for British title

Irish champion trainer Willie Mullins is 9-2 (from 10-1) second favourite with Coral to be crowned British champion trainer this season, with only reigning title holder Paul Nicholls ahead of him in the betting at 1-4.  Former champion Nicky Henderson has been eased to 5-1, with Philip Hobbs next in the betting at 33-1.

“Willie Mullins set a new record for winners at last season’s Cheltenham Festival, and with such a strong squad of talent to call on, if he takes aim at all the big races on this side of the Irish sea in the coming months, he could well add the British crown to the Irish title he has made his own in recent years,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
