Leading bookmaker Coral make Jose Mourinho odds-on at 5-6 not to be in charge of Chelsea for their final game of the 2015/16 season following the reigning champions’ defeat at West Ham yesterday. Mourinho is 11-8 not to be at Chelsea on the 1st January, 2016 and 16-1 to depart the club before the Blues’ next game in the league against Liverpool.

Coral is also betting on the finishing position of Chelsea at the end of the season in which 3rd and 4th are the 3-1 joint-favourites in the market. The firm make Chelsea 7-2 to end the campaign in 5th place and 5-1 to finish 6th.

“The pressure is building on Jose Mourinho with this latest defeat and that is reflected in the betting as he is now odds-on not to see out the season at Chelsea, while he is only 11-8 to depart from the club before the New Year,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Chelsea have a lot of work to do if they are to end the season in the top four but the odds suggest they will still do that as 3rd and 4th place are the joint-favourites in our finishing position market,” added Hill.
