A score draw is on the cards
Two of Spain’s most famous teams Atletico Madrid and Valencia collide in the country’s capital for this early season La Liga showdown, with the hosts being the odds-on 4/7 match chances with Coral.
They have certainly earned that tag in recent years, having won the league only two seasons ago, and currently stand four points and as many places above the Bats (24/5) in the table in fourth after eight games.
However, it did not go all Atleti’s way last term, as they were only able to take one point from their two top flight meetings. The duo have drawn 1-1 in each of the past three seasons, in all competitions, so a share of the spoils again is priced at 11/4 while that same scoreline is a more enticing 13/2.
Hosts Atletico will be hoping to rely on Antoine Griezmann for this match, as he has already found the net four times this term. The star France forward is unsurprisingly odds-on at 10/11 to score again anytime, but his price of 7/2 to strike first may be more appealing to punters.

Other attacking threats include ex-Liverpool and Chelsea frontman Fernando Torres, Jackson Martinez and Angel Correa, who are respective 6/5, even-money and 6/4 shouts in the anytime market.
For Valencia, who have Phil Neville as an assistant coach, their forwards have found goals hard to come by this term in the league, with Paco Alcacer (11/4) and former Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo (3/1) managing just one apiece.
Midfielder Daniel Parejo has got two, and is a very tempting 11/2 shout in the same market, ex-Bolton Wanderers loanee Rodrigo Moreno is out at 5/1.
Both Atleti and the Bats come into this match on a run of two straight wins in all competitions, including victories in the Champions League. So it is likely to be a highly competitive affair between two teams that finished third and fourth respectively last season.
